We’re partnering with an award-winning manufacturer and distributor based in Lancashire who are continuing to invest heavily in their IT function. As part of their growth, they’re looking to appoint a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to strengthen their internal support team.

The Role – 2nd Line IT Support Engineer
As a 2nd Line Engineer, you’ll act as the escalation point for 1st Line support and take ownership of more complex technical issues. You’ll be hands-on across infrastructure, networks, and core systems, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities: Act as an escalation point for 1st Line technical issues Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network incidents Support and maintain Microsoft 365 and Exchange environments Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies Assist with server administration and Windows environments Support networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, VLANs, switching) Contribute to infrastructure upgrades and improvement projects Liaise with third-party vendors where required Technical Environment
You don’t need experience across everything below, but exposure to some of the following would be advantageous:
Microsoft 365 / Exchange Windows environments Networking fundamentals Cisco Meraki Dell infrastructure
