This individual is responsible for unlocking growth and competitive advantage through Argos, driving end-to-end commercial execution for the MX categories.Why join our team?This role merges the strengths of Samsung’s Smartphone and Ecosystem businesses with the fast-evolving priorities of strategic channel partners like Argos.Role and ResponsibilitiesStrategic Partner ManagementServe as the commercial lead for Argos, a high-growth and strategic partnerDevelop custom, data-driven channel strategies tailored Argos’ go-to-market model, target audience, and category potentialDrive innovation in commercial execution, marketing collaboration, demand generation, and partner engagement to ensure Samsung’s competitive edgeChannel DevelopmentLead the strategic direction, commercial planning, and execution of Samsung’s UK Pureplay Channel strategyBuild, manage, and grow exec-level relationships with Argos, ensuring aligned business goals and shared market ambitionDefine and own joint business plans to accelerate sales into ArgosIdentify and rapidly scale new high-potential channel partnerships and strategic initiativesCommercial Execution & KPI OwnershipDeliver against Samsung’s core commercial KPIs, including sell-in and sell-out revenue growth, market share uplift, attach rate improvement, and ASP increaseLead quarterly planning cycles, leveraging advanced commercial modelling and Excel-based simulation to influence partner proposals and internal decisionsDeploy category-specific activation plans to accelerate growth in Smartphones, Tablets, Wearables, Accessories, and ComputingContinuously analyse, forecast, and optimise the performance of Argos to drive maximum ROI and efficient SD investmentYour key people management responsibilitiesLead and coordinate a direct team of Account Managers and Account Execs as well as cross-functional team delivering best-in-class account management, operational excellence, and customer experienceAct as a senior voice for the Pureplay Sales strategy within SEUK leadership forums and pan-European forums, supporting the Head of Pureplay SalesFoster a culture of innovation and commercial brilliance, building team capability in advanced analytics, retail modelling, and channel innovationProvide clarity on strategy, team purpose & value and define the key areas of focus and directionSupport the development of your team through regular mentoring, coaching and feedback, 1 : 1s and on the job learning opportunitiesRole model inclusion for your team to build trust and psychological safetyEnsure communication with your team is a core focus area including cascade of information from LT’s and relevant business updatesManage the onboarding, off boarding process and the entirety of the colleague lifecycle process for all team membersManage all annual people management cycles such as goal setting, evaluation and salary reviews to a high quality and in a timely mannerTo be accountable for ensuring your team are compliant with company processes and procedures; such as compliance, meeting mandatory business cyclical deadlines, and understanding the company valuesWhat we need for this roleA senior commercial leader with 10+ years’ experience in Carrier, Distribution, Retail, or Indirect Sales preferably in Consumer Electronics, Telecoms, or FMCGStrong knowledge of the UK Mobile landscape, Carrier / Retailer / Distributor dynamics, and emerging digital / alternative channelsExceptional Excel skills and financial modelling capability—must be able to independently develop commercial simulations, pricing strategies, and volume / ASP sensitivity modelsDemonstrated ability to lead complex commercial negotiations, manage senior external relationships, and influence internal stakeholders at SEUK Leadership Executive levelStrategic approach with tactical agility, strong analytical rigor, and passion for identifying and scaling new routes to marketSkills and QualificationsSamsung becomes the #1 Smartphone and associated Ecosystem vendor within Argos, with strong share of voice, execution quality, and premium market share. Double‑digit YoY revenue growth is achieved via the planning and execution of annual JBPs, with clear cost‑to‑serve and ROI management.
