Account Director Engineering Operations (On-Site)Location: On-site, 5 days per weekSalary: £80,000£90,000 + comprehensive packageWe are seeking a highly polished, commercially astute Account Director to lead engineering operations at a large, complex, and highly regulated static site. This is a senior leadership role requiring a strong corporate mindset, exceptional stakeholder engagement, and the ability to drive performance across a multidisciplinary technical team.The RoleAs Account Director, you will hold full responsibility for the strategic and operational delivery of engineering services on-site. You will oversee a team of approximately 20 professionals, including Engineers, Supervisors, Engineering Managers, and a Project Manager. Acting as the primary client interface, you will be accountable for maintaining a strong, professional relationship, ensuring service excellence, and consistently aligning delivery with client expectations and contractual obligations.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide visible, authoritative leadership across all engineering functions on-siteManage and develop a team of ~20 staff, ensuring high performance, engagement, and accountabilityAct as the senior point of contact for the client, building and maintaining a credible, trusted partnershipLead regular client meetings, performance reviews, and strategic discussionsProactively manage client expectations, resolve escalations, and ensure high levels of satisfactionOwn the P&L for the account, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost controlEnsure full compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and corporate governance standardsDrive operational excellence, service delivery improvements, and innovation initiativesOversee project delivery in partnership with the Project Manager, ensuring timelines and budgets are metImplement and maintain robust reporting structures, KPIs, and performance metricsLead on risk management, health & safety, and business continuity planningRequirementsProven experience in a senior account leadership role within engineering, facilities management, or a related technical environmentDemonstrated experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams in a corporate settingStrong track record of direct client engagement and relationship management at a senior levelStrong commercial acumen with P&L responsibilityExceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skillsHighly structured, process-driven, and comfortable within a formal corporate environmentStrong understanding of compliance, health & safety, and operational governanceDegree-qualified or equivalent in an engineering or related discipline (preferred)Package£80,000£90,000 base salaryComprehensive benefits package (bonus, pension, private healthcare, etc.)This role is suited to an individual who thrives in a structured, corporate environment, is confident managing demanding client relationships, and can lead from the front while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and delivery.JBRP1_UKTJ
