Accountant – Financial Planning & Analysis

Hybrid – Crawley

18-Month Contract

We are currently supporting a client in Crawley who is looking to appoint an Accountant – Financial Planning & Analysis on an 18-month contract basis. This role will sit within the finance team and support financial planning, reporting, analysis, and business decision-making across key operational areas.

This is a hybrid role, offering a mix of office and remote working.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple cost centres
• Extract, analyse, and interpret financial data to support business planning
• Produce management information and reporting packs for internal stakeholders
• Work closely with finance and non-finance teams to improve reporting accuracy and financial visibility
• Support month-end and year-end processes
• Maintain and improve financial models, reports, and planning tools
• Assist with system and process improvements across finance reporting activities

Skills & Experience Required

• Recognised accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong Excel capability, including pivot tables, data extraction, and basic financial analysis
• Previous experience using Oracle Hyperion
• Proven experience working with ERP systems, ideally Baan or SAP
• Strong financial reporting and analytical capability
• Ability to manage and interpret large volumes of financial data accurately
• Comfortable working across multiple systems and stakeholders

Desirable

• Previous experience using SharePoint
• Exposure to Power BI reporting
• Experience working in a complex corporate or international finance environment
