Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper Part Time (Approx 20 hours) We are a busy and well-established accident repair centre looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. Location: Autofix Accident Repair Centre Loanhead, EH20 9QH Hours: 20 hours per week Salary: Depending on experience You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial records of the business, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This is a key role supporting the smooth running of our accounts function. Key Responsibilities - Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers - Processing purchase invoices, receipts, sales invoices, and payments - Bank reconciliations - Managing accounts payable and receivable - Preparing for VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements - Assisting with payroll including pension and statutory payments (if experienced) - Manage ONS surverys - Support month-end and year-end financial reporting - Liaising with accountants and management - Monitoring cash flow and reporting on financial activity Requirements - Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role - Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) - Good understanding of VAT and basic accounting principles - High level of accuracy and attention to detail - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively - Strong excel xcunqrw skills - Experience in the automotive or repair industry (desirable but not essential) What We Offer - Flexible working hours - Friendly and supportive team environment -Monthly bonus if company targets met Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Pay: £14,000.00-£17,500.00 per year Expected hours: 20 hours per week Experience: Motor Trade: 1 year (preferred) Accounts / Bookkeeping: 3 years (required) Work Location: In person
