Accounts Assistant
to join a busy Finance Team. This role is well-suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to develop their experience within accounts receivable, credit control, and broader finance support.
You will play a key role in supporting the Accounts Receivables function, including monitoring customer accounts, following up on outstanding payments, managing credit limits, and investigating shortages and disputes. Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Investigate and manage shortage claim disputes
Handle customer queries, disputes, and debit notes
Record and allocate daily debtor receipts
Reconcile customer statements and review aged debt
Monitor and manage customer credit limits and accounts
Support daily sales invoicing and month-end processes
Work with finance systems and customer portals
Monitor and maintain the Accounts mailbox
Set up new customer accounts
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Skills & Experience
Strong attention to detail and high accuracy
Analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to analyse data and identify discrepancies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable handling multiple tasks and priorities
Intermediate Excel skills
Experience with
SAGE 50 Accounts
