Accounts Assistant – QuickBooks | Sales Ledger | Purchase Ledger
Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales ledger, and purchase ledger who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and growing business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function, maintaining accurate records and supporting the wider team with transactional finance duties. Experience using QuickBooks is essential.
Key Responsibilities
*
Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently
*
Managing the sales ledger and purchase ledger
*
Posting invoices, credit notes, payments, and receipts onto QuickBooks
*
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries
*
Chasing outstanding payments and supporting credit control activities
*
Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash allocation
*
Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end processes
*
Liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal teams regarding finance queries
*
Supporting the finance team with general administrative and accounting duties as required
Requirements
*
Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
*
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks
*
Experience with accounts payable / receivable
*
Good understanding of sales ledger and purchase ledger processes
*
High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
*
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
*
Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
*
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Desirable
*
AAT qualification or studies towards AAT would be advantageous
*
Experience working in a fast-paced finance environment
