Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Manchester City Centre (hybrid working available)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 base salary + benefits
Study Support: Fully funded (AAT / ACCA / CIMA)

As part of their continued growth, they are looking to hire a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their growing finance team.

The Role:
This role is ideal for someone with solid transactional finance experience, particularly in Accounts Receivable, who is looking to expand their exposure across the wider finance function. The business is committed to supporting professional study and long-term career progression.
Key Responsibilities:
Other Accounts Support Duties
Assisting with purchase ledger processing and supplier queries
Posting journals and supporting month-end activities
Reconciling balance sheet accounts
Assisting with VAT returns and audit preparation
Maintaining financial records and supporting reporting requirements
Providing ad-hoc support to the wider finance team as required
Accounts Receivable
Raising, issuing, and posting sales invoices accurately and on time
Managing the sales ledger and maintaining accurate customer accounts
Proactively chasing outstanding debt and resolving invoice queries
Allocating incoming payments and investigating discrepancies
Building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
Bank Reconciliations
Performing daily and monthly bank reconciliations
Identifying and resolving variances promptly
About You:
Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable or transactional finance role
Confident completing bank reconciliations
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Proactive, adaptable, and keen to take on additional responsibilities
Actively studying or keen to begin a finance qualification
