The business has grown x25 in the past ten years and continues to expand. The individual hired into this role 18 months ago is thriving and is progressing internally.
Now it's your turn!
As an Accounts Assistant, you'll work across both the supplier and customer ledgers; you'll need to be organised, as this is a busy role!
What's more, it's a great role to see all sides of the business as you'll be communicating with suppliers, customers, departmental heads, and your Finance colleagues.
As an Accounts Assistant, you will have a broad range of duties;
From supporting the Accounts Manager with processing employee expenses, daily banking and cashflow management to developing relations with dedicated supplier contacts, processing supplier invoices and raising queries if necessary.
You'll raise customer invoices and provide them with forecasts so they understand their costs and what purchase orders they need to raise. These are large organisations; you'll get to know your contacts, so it won't surprise them that you'll be chasing them if they don't pay on time!
You'll be comfortable with reconciliations; they're everywhere: bank, cash, supplier statements, etc So, brush up on your MS Excel skills!
If you've used Sage L50 before, that's a bonus, but if not, don't worry; you'll soon pick it up.
Is this you?
Previous experience working in a finance department and knowledge of accountancy routines and requirements.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Methodical approach and an ability to work under time pressure around month-end.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What's on offer;
Competitive salary, £26,000 - £30,000, plus excellent bonus potential

Hybrid working: the team come together in the office each Wednesday. Otherwise, they have the flexibility to work from home or the office.
