Our manufacturing client isseeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Finance Specialist to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts payable processes, and they are looking for a professional with a strong background in accounts payable, preferably with SAP experience.

Contract Type: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract
Hours: Lovely 35 hour working week
Salary: Up to 32,000 per annum

As an Accounts Payable Finance Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing purchase invoices, including distribution for coding and approval, and coding invoices where required.
• Accurately and efficiently processing invoices.
• Allocating invoice expenditure appropriately.
• Monitoring and applying credits owed to the company.
• Executing daily and weekly payment runs in line with agreed schedules.
• Producing and maintaining Accounts Payable (AP) reports, including supplier statements.
• Reconciling supplier statements and addressing supplier queries promptly.
• Overseeing supplier payments, coordinating with the Financial Director regarding payment runs, and issuing cheques and remittance advice.
• Ensuring VAT is paid on appropriate invoices and maintaining accurate records of tax payments.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Proven experience in an accounts payable role.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar financial systems is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial data.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders
