Where will you be working?
As an organisation, there is little we dont do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.

What will you be doing?
You will take day-to-day ownership of divisional payables activity, responding to urgent postal correspondence, supplier and internal telephone queries, and managing Freshdesk tickets in line with agreed SLAs. The role includes processing proforma, VAT invoices, refunds and returned payments, while supporting outsourced finance partners with process guidance and exception handling aligned to M Groups risk appetite. On a weekly and monthly basis, you will lead the resolution of payables on hold, Oracle workflows and aged creditors, attend supplier and service review meetings, complete quality reviews, and produce balance sheet reconciliations to month-end deadlines.

Working towards a formal accountancy qualification
Skills/Knowledge:
Essential:
Solid understanding of accounting principles and balance sheet reconciliations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal (including face to face).
Strong stakeholder management skills (both internal and external)
Intermediate MS Excel, to include VLOOKUP & Pivot Tables.
