Salary: £30,000

They support a wide range of clients, primarily local small businesses and personal tax clients, and are looking to welcome an experienced Accounts Supervisor to our team of 14. This is a flexible opportunity, suitable for someone looking for part-time hours (34 days per week), with the potential for a full-time position for the right candidate. Whats In It For You 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays), pro rata for part-time Pension via NEST (or alternative scheme if preferred) Medical benefit after 12 months service Ongoing CPD support through online PTP training courses Friendly and supportive working environment Working days and pattern to be agreed through discussion to suit both parties Flexibility to work from home when circumstances require Potential progression to a Manager-level position in the future Requirements Essential Ideally 56 years experience within a private accountancy practice Confident working independently and managing a client portfolio Strong working knowledge of cloud and desktop accounting software Excellent communication and client relationship skills Highly organised with strong attention to detail Desirable Some highly experienced candidates may be looking to step into a slightly less demanding role The Role You will manage your own portfolio of clients with a high degree of autonomy, while reporting to one of our Accounts Managers Assisting clients with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, VT Transactions, Sage, and FreeAgent Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns Managing quarterly submissions to HMRC under Making Tax Digital (MTD) Preparing self-assessment tax returns and submitting them to HMRC following client approval Handling and responding to HMRC enquiries Finalising accounts for limited companies Filing company accounts with Companies House and HMRC Whats next?
