We’re working with a leading financial services client (Close Brothers) who are looking for an experienced AI Architect to lead the design and delivery of an advanced agentic AI platform focused on transaction reconciliation and intelligent automation.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll define the end-to-end AI architecture and shape how intelligent agents drive automation, exception handling, and decision-making across financial workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end AI/agentic architecture for reconciliation, matching, and exception handling
• Define and orchestrate AI agents (STP, fuzzy matching, exception handling, assisted matching, analytics)
• Select and implement appropriate ML, NLP, and similarity techniques for transaction matching
• Define confidence scoring, escalation logic, and human-in-the-loop (HITL) workflows
• Establish model lifecycle, retraining strategies, and monitoring frameworks
• Ensure explainability, auditability, and responsible AI practices
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions

Required Experience

• Proven experience as an AI Architect / Lead AI Engineer in enterprise environments
• Strong background in agentic AI, LLMs, and RAG architectures
• Experience designing intelligent automation systems (matching, classification, anomaly detection)
• Hands-on knowledge of ML/NLP techniques and similarity algorithms
• Experience with human-in-the-loop systems and decisioning workflows
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and scalable architectures
• Experience working in financial services or regulated environments is highly desirable
