a major UK & International freight forwarding organisation who have experienced major growth and expansion are looking to add an Air & Sea import or expert Clerk to their team. The ideal candidate must come from a freight forwarding background and can possess either air or sea and either import or export experience.
ROLE: Air & Sea Import/Export Clerk LOCATION: Bristol BASIC SALARY: £25k to £32k
ROLE: Monitor and confirm air & sea UK arrivals and departures (Import & Export)
Request clearance and delivery instructions
Ensure accurate Cost and Revenue estimates are made against jobs
Comply with Company policies and procedures
Ensure knowledge and compliance, with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) for Pharmaceutical Productsas defined in the company quality policies
Communicate effectively in a professional manner with customers to ensure their quotations and traffic requirements are fulfilled in line with their booking instructions
Adherence to customer and internal SOPs
Liaison with consignee and overseas network (imports) reporting any discrepancies or specific requirements
Effectively communicate with the warehouse, transport and gateway teams to make warehouse and delivery arrangements.
