Job Purpose
Due to continued expansion, on behalf of our Client we are looking to recruit APPROVED ELECTRICIANS in the Inverness area.
 
Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installations, repairs and inspections at various industrial premises including but not limited to: install and terminate industrial containment systems (e.g. tray, trunking, conduit, ladder rack); wire and connect heavy-duty motors, control panels and machinery
• Diagnose and rectify problems
• Perform testing, fault-finding and commissioning of industrial electrical systems
• Read and interpret complex electrical schematics and site drawings
• Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, engineers and other on-site trades.
• Complete relevant reports
• Work in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations, SJIB codes of practice and customer site specific rules

 
Requirements:

• Successful completion of the FICA
• Achieved SVQ Level 3 Certificate in Electrical Installation or satisfactorily completed an equivalent course of study approved by the SJIB
• Up to date with current standard BS7671, 18th Edition BS7671
• ECS grading card
• Proven experience on industrial sites (e.g. factories, plants, warehouses).
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and safe isolation procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
