Our team manages a diverse commercial portfolio exceeding2 million sq. ft., including office buildings and new-build industrial developments, primarily across theNorth West of England.Working closely with a trusted network of consultants, contractors, and supply chain partners, we deliverinnovative, high-quality commercial developments and refurbishment projectstailored to modern business needs.The Role:We are looking for anArchitectural Technicianto join our growing design team in Manchester.This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stage of their architectural career who is keen to develop their technical skills within afast-paced commercial property environment.You will support the design team with the preparation, coordination, and management oftechnical drawings and project documentationfor bothnew-build and refurbishment projectsacross the commercial and industrial sectors.The role will involve assisting with design development, producing detailed drawings, and ensuring projects meetplanning requirements, building regulations, and technical specifications.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation ofarchitectural drawings using AutoCADSupport senior team members in producingdetailed construction drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and schedulesCoordinate witharchitects, engineers, and consultantsto ensure designs meet structural and regulatory requirementsResearch and apply relevantbuilding regulations, codes, materials, and construction methodsPrepare documentation forplanning submissions, building regulations approvals, and tender packagesAssist withsite visits and surveys, recording measurements and documenting existing conditionsMaintain organiseddrawing files, technical specifications, and project documentationParticipate inproject meetingsand collaborate with the wider design and development teamQualifications & Skills:Degree or relevant qualification inArchitecture, Architectural Technology, or Architectural Technician studiesmin. 3 years experienceworking in ArchitectureProficiency inAutoCADUnderstanding ofconstruction methods and building detailingKnowledge ofplanning processes and building regulationsStrongtechnical drawing and drafting skillsHigh attention to detail and strongorganisational skillsGoodcommunication and teamwork abilitiesWillingness tolearn, develop, and take direction from senior staffDesirable Experience:Knowledge ofsustainable design principlesUnderstanding ofBREEAM standardsExperience withRevitExposure toproject management tools or development workflowsWhat We Offer:£30,000 £38,000 salary, depending on experienceOpportunity to work onlarge-scale commercial and industrial development projectsHands-on experience within anin-house development environmentSupportive team environment withopportunities for career developmentExposure to thefull lifecycle of commercial property projectsJBRP1_UKTJ
