Area Sales Manager, South - Automotive

£37,000 plus commission of up to £9,600 per annum and a Company Car.

Saxon is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of automotive aftermarket lifestyle products. Our portfolio of brands includes LITTLE TREES, WD40, McLaren, Stoplock, SAKURA and CTEK. We are specialists within the car care market. We own and represent major brands offering a complete Sales and Marketing operation, supported by a direct B2B Sales Team and in house Customer Services department.

The role:

As an Area Sales Manager you will be responsible for developing Saxon’s brand portfolio to attain agreed sales targets. You will be identifying new business opportunities within your territory, plus managing your accounts to achieve maximum exposure for Saxon’s brands. The territory consists of the Southwest to Bedford down to Kent and with additional responsibility for Southern Ireland and the Channel Islands.

Key tasks:

• Full account management, including attaining monthly sales targets through visits to new and existing customers, developing and maintaining positive business and customer relationships, and ensuring the maximum exposure of Saxon in store stock products
• Present Saxon brands and products to accounts in a professional manner
• Provide key staff with regular updates on competitor activity, products and pricing
• Develop an effective working relationship with key staff
• Prepare for, attend and actively participate in Sales meetings and Trade Shows
• Ensure all administrative duties are completed in full and on time

The person:

You will have:

• In the region of 2 years’ experience in a similar role with a proven track record of sales achievement
• Good presentation and communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills and be self-motivated
• IT literacy
• Knowledge of the automotive aftermarket within the territory would be welcome but not a necessity

Package includes, commission of up to £9,600 per annum and a Company Car.
