Area Sales Manager – South East | Field Based

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 + commission + company vehicle

Overview

We are recruiting an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive sales growth across the South East region for a specialist provider of pump design, installation and maintenance solutions. This field-based role is ideal for a technically minded sales professional with experience in pumping stations, utilities, water, wastewater, or engineering services.

As a Area Sales Manager you will manage key accounts, develop new business, and work closely with senior management to deliver profitable and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop customer accounts across the South East
• Identify and convert new business opportunities
• Sell pumping station design, installation, servicing and maintenance solutions
• Generate leads, prepare quotations, follow up opportunities and close sales
• Build long-term relationships with contractors, developers and end users
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting
• Use CRM (Zoho) and ERP (simPRO) systems effectively
• Monitor competitors, market trends and industry developments
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and quality standards
• Represent the company professionally as a market leader

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience as an Area Sales Manager / Regional Sales Manager / Business Development Manager
• Excellent communication, negotiation and closing skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Confident using CRM and sales reporting tools
• Full UK driving licence
