Asset Management Lead - HPC (Permanent, Full-Time on site role)

The organisation is now seeking an Asset Management Lead to join the team at Hinkley Point C (HPC) on a permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to one of the UK's most significant nuclear infrastructure projects.
Role Overview
The Asset Management Lead is responsible for coordinating, executing, and overseeing all care and maintenance activities for Systems, Structures, and Components (SSCs) within scope-from receipt and storage through installation and up to handover.
The role ensures full compliance with RCC‑M F6000, HPC contractual requirements, and internal procedures, maintaining all components in a fit‑for‑purpose condition throughout their lifecycle on site.
Key Responsibilities
Implements and maintains the project Care & Maintenance Plan and Schedule in accordance with HPC‑NNB requirements. Coordinates and supervises C&M activities across all phases: delivery, storage, installation, and post‑installation. Ensures correct application of cleanliness classifications, zoning, and storage conditions in line with RCC‑M Section F6000 and site cleanliness procedures. Manages inspection, preservation, and maintenance frequencies, ensuring timely execution and accurate documentation. Oversees zone transfer control, segregation of cleanliness classes, and compliance with Foreign Material Exclusion (FME) requirements. Collaborates with QA/QC, Stores, and Construction teams to ensure components remain protected and preserved until handover. Verifies environmental controls such as humidity, temperature, sealing, and protective covers, initiating corrective actions where required. Maintains auditable C&M records-including plans, schedules, logs, and inspection reports-for LTQR inclusion and upload to NNB's Enterprise Asset Management system. Liaises with NNB, inspectors, and other stakeholders to ensure visibility and compliance of preservation and cleanliness activities. Supports audits, surveillance, and handover inspections, ensuring all components are free from degradation, contamination, or damage.
Working Pattern
Full-time, on-site at HPC Monday to Friday 38 hours per week Permanent staff position
Experience Required
Previous experience in care & maintenance, quality, or asset preservation within a regulated environment (nuclear, oil & gas, aerospace, or similar). Demonstrated experience managing preservation and cleanliness controls aligned with RCC‑M or equivalent high‑integrity standards. Strong background in coordinating cross-functional activities involving QA/QC, construction, and stores. Experience preparing and managing C&M Plans, Schedules, and associated inspection records. Familiarity with LTQR compilation and nuclear lifetime records expectations.
Qualifications & Skills
Engineering or Technical qualification in Mechanical, Welding, Quality, or a related discipline (HNC or above preferred). CCNSG Safety Passport (mandatory). Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Experience using document management or quality systems such as Teamcenter, Proarc, SharePoint, or similar. Knowledge of HPC Quality Arrangements, RCC‑M F6000 cleanliness requirements, and NNB Care & Maintenance obligations.
