Job Description
Role: ASSISTANT CIVIL ENGINEER\n\nLocation: Reading\n\nSalary: £30,000 to £39,000 (depending on experience)\n\nRef: MAR623\n\nDo you have a passion for infrastructure design?\n\nWe are currently seeking an Assistant Civil Engineer to join our clients’ growing Reading infrastructure team. This is an opportunity to join a reputable group with a strong forward workload. The company has been at the heart of the local community for many years and are now looking at further expansion.\n\nTheir projects include a wide range of public and private sector schemes that include some significant development, infrastructure and regeneration projects from small scale local schemes to larger frameworks.\n\nThe Assistant Civil Engineer Role:\nYou will play an important role within the team.
You will support the production of drainage/highway designs and provision for all types and scales of development projects and assist in securing S278/S38 and S104 technical approvals. You will work alongside Engineers and Technicians in the effective delivery of outputs to agreed deadlines.\n\nYour role will be varied and challenging, and you will have the opportunity to learn from the wider group and take your career to the next level. The company will work with you to establish your training needs and provide a clear pathway to progression.
You will be part of a welcoming, progressive and inclusive team whose aim is to add lasting value to the communities we live in.\n\nAbout You:\nIdeally, you will have a degree in Engineering and an interest in progressing towards Chartership. You will have some experience in drainage, highways or civil infrastructure design projects and will be looking to expand your knowledge and experience. Skills with Microdrainage and Civils 3D are an advantage.\n\nSome previous consultancy experience while working on civil infrastructure projects would be preferable.
