Assistant Credit Controller

SK22, New Mills We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Credit Controller to join a busy finance team in New Mills (SK22). This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, detail-focused and looking to build a career within credit control and finance. Working as part of a supportive team, you will assist in managing customer accounts and ensuring the efficient collection of outstanding payments while maintaining strong customer relationships. Key Responsibilities Assisting with the management and collection of outstanding customer balances, including regular review of aged receivables

Allocating incoming payments to the Sales Ledger accurately

Supporting new customer due diligence checks and assisting with credit evaluations

Setting up credit terms and ensuring accurate system updates

Raising, issuing and monitoring credit notes

Monitoring the release of sales orders in line with agreed credit terms

Supporting month-end processes, including reconciliations and reporting

Providing general office support when required

About You We are looking for someone who has: Strong attention to detail

Good computer skills (Excel knowledge advantageous)

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask

A self-motivated and proactive approach

Office experience (desirable but not essential)

A willingness to learn and develop
