With a healthy pipeline of secured work and a culture that promotes professional growth, this is an ideal role for a technically strong and commercially aware design professional seeking long-term stability and progression.The RoleWorking alongside a Senior Design Manager, the Assistant Design Manager will support key elements of the design management process.Key responsibilities include:Coordinating and communicating with internal and external stakeholdersAssisting with day-to-day management of the design team and resourcesManaging design trackers, documentation, and workflowsProducing and issuing meeting minutes where requiredSupporting pre-construction activitiesAttending, leading, and chairing meetings as appropriateUndertaking site visits and walkarounds to resolve design-related issuesWorking closely with site and construction management teamsAssisting with the implementation of quality assurance and health & safety proceduresGaining exposure to statutory and regulatory processes including Planning, Building Safety, Warranty providers, and BREEAMDeveloping knowledge of commercial aspects of design management and construction contractsExperience requiredHNC or Degree qualified in a construction or design-related disciplineRelevant experience within construction, design coordinationStrong IT skills, including working knowledge of BIMConfident communicator with the ability to manage multiple stakeholdersProactive, well organised, and keen to develop a long-term career in Design ManagementBuilding Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
