independent, family-run pub

in Ruislip, currently focused on improving service standards, consistency and team capability. We are looking for a

hands-on Assistant Manager

to play a key role in leading shifts, coaching staff and embedding strong day-to-day standards. This is a floor-led role suited to someone who enjoys developing people, setting expectations and running well-organised services

rather than a desk-based or corporate management position. The Role

Working closely with the owners, you will be responsible for: Acting as

Duty Manager

on allocated shifts

Leading bar and floor service during busy periods

Coaching and developing the team to improve service quality and consistency

Setting and reinforcing clear service and behaviour standards

Supporting training of new and existing team members

Handling customer feedback and issues professionally

Opening and closing the venue

Supporting basic rotas, cashing up and stock awareness

You will be trusted to run shifts independently and be a visible, calm leader on the floor. About You

Experience as a

Senior Supervisor, Shift Leader or Assistant Manager

in a pub, bar or restaurant

Confident leading teams during live service

Strong people skills with a coaching, standards-focused approach

Practical, organised and calm under pressure

Flexible to work evenings and weekends

Personal Licence preferred but not essential (support available)
