Job Description

Ivy Resource Group are working with a leading contractor to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a permanent role based in Wolverhampton. You will be supporting the delivery of a diverse portfolio of commercial projects including schools, hospitals, MOD bases, colleges, universities, and leisure centres.\n\nThe company:\n\nOur client is a construction company and family-owned business that has a passion for innovation and a drive for achieving excellence. They have been in business for over 30 years and work across a variety of sectors, including: Commercial, Leisure, Education, Healthcare, Residential and Retail.

\n\nThe Role:\n\nSupporting the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account\n\nAssisting with cost planning, procurement, valuations, variations, and cost reporting\n\nSupporting subcontractor procurement, administration, and payment processes\n\nAssisting with forecasting and monitoring project budgets\n\nWorking closely with Site Managers, Project Managers, and Senior Quantity Surveyors to ensure commercial and contractual compliance\n\nMaintaining accurate commercial records and assisting with monthly reporting\n\nThe Ideal Candidate:\n\nPrevious experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Trainee Quantity Surveyor within a commercial construction environment\n\nExposure to projects within education, healthcare, MOD, or leisure sectors is advantageous\n\nExperience working with a main contractor or Tier 1 contractor is desirable\n\nStrong numerical, organisational, and communication skills\n\nKeen to develop and progress towards Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor level\n\nSalary & Package:\n\n£40,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)\n\n£3500 Car allowance \n\nCompetitive benefits package\n\nStructured training and career progression opportunities\n\n27 days (+BHs) annual leave\n\nCar leasing scheme via salary sacrifice\n\nDeath in Service (4x salary)\n\nCycle to Work scheme\n\nCash Plan (claim back)\n\nPension: 3% employee / 5% employer\n\nHow to apply:\n\nPlease submit your CV and a member of our team will respond to you. \n\nIvy Resource Group are committed to promoting equal opportunities to people regardless of , , , belief, , sexuality or .
