We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our North West region, based in Manchester. This is a full time, permanent role. Ideally 40 hours over 5 days per week, start time 8am to 5pm with flexibility by agreement. Duties of the Role: Providing support to line manager and promoting a partnering environment. Taking responsibility for financial aspects of a project, when appropriate. Supporting other members of the team to achieve successful project delivery. Aspire to the very highest standards of quality, service and business performance, ensuring clients are satisfied. Tackling difficult issues early by promoting early resolution to problems. Being commercially aware of the environment around you and applying common sense, good judgement, and demonstrating financial understanding. Achieving project targets whilst maintaining client and supply chain relationships. To assist with Sub Contractor Procurement, Subcontract orders and general Contract Administration ensuring these are completed to the necessary deadlines. Collating and keep up to date tracking documents and fully complying with our standards. Ensuring the Regional and Company procedures are fulfilled in relation to the processing of Subcontractor Payments. Assess performance and strive for continuous improvement. Understand the step down to the supply chain and enforce where appropriate. Any other duties associated with this position which are related to the objectives of the Company or Team. Key Skills & Experience Required: Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or similar. Ideally 1-2 years main contracting experience. Good organisational skills. Accuracy of administration and compliance with company standards. Ability to work under pressure. Performance against project budgets. Problem solving skills. Willingness to learn and develop. Must be willing to adapt to business requirements. Driving license essential.
