Job Title: Trainee/Assistant Quantity Surveyor Location: Wolverhampton (West Midlands) Sector: Construction - New Build Projects
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + Package
Role Overview: We are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team, supporting the commercial delivery of new build construction projects across the West Midlands. This is a great opportunity to develop your career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the commercial management of construction projects from pre-construction through to final account Support in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents Help manage subcontractor procurement, including enquiries, analysis, and order placement Assist with valuations, variations, and cost reporting Monitor project costs and help ensure projects are delivered within budget Support with contract administration and document control Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliersRequirements:
Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role or a relevant placement/year out Degree or working towards a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field Good understanding of construction processes, ideally within new build projects Strong numerical and analytical skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Good communication and organisational skillsDesirable:
Experience working for a main contractor Knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g. JCT) Full UK driving licenceWhat We Offer:
