Assistant Site Manager – Durham\n£40,000 – £48,000 + Package\n\nEdge Contracting are recruiting for an Assistant Site Manager to join a growing contractor on a long-term project in Durham.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of work, offering progression, training and long-term career development.\n\nThe Role\n\nYou will be working on a large remediation scheme across multiple buildings, supporting the Site Manager with day-to-day operations.\n\nDuties will include:\n\n * Assisting with the management of site activities and subcontractors\n\n * Ensuring works are carried out in line with HSE standards and RAMS\n\n * Monitoring quality and progress on site\n\n * Supporting with site documentation and reporting\n\n * Coordinating labour, materials and deliveries\n\n * Attending site meetings and liaising with the wider team\n\nThe project includes:\n\n * Removal of existing brickwork\n\n * Installation of fire barriers within cavity walls\n\n * Installation of brick slip systems\n\n * Potential internal fit-out works\n\nRequirements\n\n * Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor\n\n * Background in brickwroks, remediation or external works\n\n * Strong understanding of health & safety and site procedures\n\n * SMSTS or SSSTS ()\n\n * First Aid (advantageous)\n\nPackage\n\n * £40,000 – £48,000 (depending on experience)\n\n * Company car, van or allowance\n\n * 25 days holiday + bank holidays\n\n * Ongoing training and clear progression opportunities\n\n * Strong, supportive company culture\n\nThis is a long-term role with work secured through to 2028 and beyond
