About Our Commercial Practice
The Commercial Practice specializes in brand strategy, positioning, value proposition and brand story development, disease area & portfolio strategy, life‑cycle management planning, new product planning, competitor strategy, workshop facilitation, and strategic customer research.
About the Opportunity
As an associate director, you will manage a mix of primary market‑research and strategy consulting projects, with a strong client workshop component ranging from 8‑15 person core brand sessions to 30‑80 person cross‑functional, multi‑country workshops. You will lead projects, manage client relationships, drive proposals and pitches, and hold client/account lead responsibilities. In addition to project delivery, you will have line‑management duties and contribute to internal business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management – design, planning, client & people management, facilitation, analysis and reporting.
Business Development – identify and pursue new business within existing accounts and for new brands.
Client Management – collaborate with account and project teams to deliver best‑in‑class service.
Subject Matter Expertise – serve as external expert, mentor junior staff internally.
Line Management – coach team members, develop their strengths and focus on concise, impactful insights.
Required Experience and Skills
Relevant bachelor’s or advanced degree in life sciences with business/marketing focus.
Over five years of consulting, brand strategy and primary market‑research experience.
Excellent business‑development skills for cultivating and growing client relationships.
Strong account and project‑management abilities.
Exceptional strategic, analytical and conceptual thinking.
Well‑developed framing and solution‑forming skills.
Experience leading and developing teams on primary market‑research and consulting projects.
Confident communication skills for peer‑to‑peer client interaction and subject‑matter expertise.
