Hybrid Overview Are you a senior Mechanical Engineer looking to lead impactful projects within the

water industry ? This is a key leadership opportunity within a well-established engineering consultancy delivering major programmes across

water and wastewater infrastructure . You will play a central role in shaping sustainable solutions that support critical UK water networks and environmental resilience. Role Overview As Associate Director, you will provide technical and strategic leadership across complex

water sector projects , driving high-quality mechanical design and delivery. You will work on large-scale programmes involving

water and wastewater treatment, pumping systems, and associated infrastructure , while leading and developing engineering teams. Key Responsibilities Lead multidisciplinary teams delivering mechanical design across

water and wastewater projects. Oversee design outputs including reports, drawings, calculations, and specifications. Drive delivery of projects to agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Provide technical leadership in areas such as

pumping systems, treatment processes, and chemical dosing systems. Support business growth through bid involvement and client engagement within the

water sector. Mentor and develop engineering teams across regional and national functions. Collaborate with wider disciplines to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions. Ensure compliance with UK standards, regulations, and best practices (including CDM and DSEAR). About You Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline Chartered Engineer status Strong experience delivering design within the

water industry (essential) Proven leadership experience on large-scale infrastructure or water projects Expertise in mechanical systems used in

water and wastewater treatment. Strong understanding of UK design standards and regulatory frameworks Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Proactive and collaborative leadership style Why Apply? Senior leadership role with real influence on
