Associate Director / Planning Director Location: Birmingham (Hybrid)

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a highly regarded, multi-disciplinary consultancy in their search for an Associate Director / Planning Director to join their Birmingham office.

This is a senior leadership role, offering the opportunity to take a central position in the company's growth strategy, lead on high-profile projects, and work with an experienced and supportive team.

The Role

* Leading the delivery of complex planning projects, including major mixed-use sustainable urban extensions and urban regeneration schemes across the UK * Managing relationships with national housebuilders, land promoters, and landowners * Identifying and developing new business opportunities * Providing strategic planning advice to clients * Overseeing the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals * Leading, mentoring, and developing the planning team

Requirements

* Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline * MRTPI Chartered Membership * Significant experience in a planning consultancy environment * Strong knowledge of UK planning policy and regulations * Proven track record of securing complex planning consents * Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills
