Job Description

A leading independent construction and property consultancy is seeking an experienced Associate Quantity Surveyor to support and lead the delivery of projects across the office, fit out, PBSA, and wider built environment sectors. This is a senior client-facing role, offering responsibility for commercial leadership, client management, and delivery of high-quality cost management services across the full project lifecycle.\n\nThe role would suit a commercially experienced professional with strong consultancy experience, looking to take the next step in a leadership-focused position.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead cost management and commercial services from feasibility through to final account.\nTake ownership of key client relationships and act as a trusted commercial advisor.\nPrepare and review cost plans, estimates, budgets, and financial reports.\nLead procurement strategies, tender processes, and contractor appointments.\nOversee contract administration, change control, and final account settlement.\nManage commercial risk, cash flow, and value optimisation across projects.\nSupport and mentor junior surveyors within the team.\nContribute to business development and workload planning where required. \n\nSkills & Experience Required\n\nStrong commercial experience within the office, fit out, PBSA, and/or wider built environment sectors.\nPrevious experience working within a construction consultancy environment.\nSound understanding of cost management, procurement, and contract administration.\nExperience working under standard forms of contract (JCT/NEC).\nStrong client-facing, communication, and reporting skills.\nMRICS (or working towards) .\nProactive, commercially minded, and delivery focused.
