We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Awake Night Residential Support Worker to join a brand new 4-bed childrens home in Hoddesdon (EN11). This is a fantastic opportunity to help lead and support a dedicated team providing high-quality care to children and young people.
The children home is registered to provide support for children and young people who have emotional, complex, social and behavioural needs.
The ethos of the childrens homes is to provide safety and stability to children in a time of great difficulty and change, enabling them to continue with everyday life even though they may be facing tough challenges.
?? Key Responsibilities
Provide care and support to children and young people during night hours
Ensure safety and wellbeing throughout the night
Support emotional needs and help maintain routines
Observe, record, and report any changes in behaviour, health, or emotional state
Assist with personal care if required
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals
? Candidate Requirements
Experience in a residential childrens home, supported living, or similar environment is preferred
Entry-level candidates with a genuine passion for helping young people are welcome
NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with young people
Full UK driving licence is essential
