We are proud of our reputation and are now looking for an experienced Back of House Manager to join the senior leadership team in the Kitchen.
The Role Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Back of House Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Kitchen Porter and Goods Receiving Teams. You will ensure that all back of house operations run smoothly, efficiently and in line with the highest standards of cleanliness, compliance and support for the wider kitchen brigade.
You will be a key member of the Kitchen leadership team, maintaining strong communication across all departments and playing an integral role in the continued success of the Kitchen and Lavo.
Key responsibilities include: Lead, support and manage the Kitchen Porter and Goods Receiving teams.
Ensure all cleaning and hygiene standards meet EHO and company requirements.
Oversee deliveries, stock rotation, and goods receiving procedures.
Manage BOH equipment maintenance and cleanliness schedules.
Work closely with the Executive Chef and senior kitchen team to ensure smooth service operations.
Maintain COSHH, HACCP and all relevant health & safety documentation.
Champion a safe, efficient, and positive working environment for all BOH staff.
Assist with rota planning, recruitment, and training of BOH team members.
About You You are a dependable, organised and hands-on hospitality professional who takes pride in running a clean, compliant and well-structured back of hour environment. Calm under pressure, and solutions-focused, you understand the importance of your role in supporting the Kitchen Team and smooth service. With high personal standards and strong leadership skills, you bring structure, discipline and consistency to the back of house operation, and motivate your team to do the same.
Were looking for someone with: Has proven experience managing back of hours operations in a high-volume hospitality setting.
Understands the importance of hygiene, safety and compliance and leads by example.
Takes a proactive approach to maintenance, cleanliness and organisation.
Can training, motivate and lead a diverse team in a positive and respectful way.
Communicates clearly and professionally across departments.
Is reliable, efficient and takes ownership of their area.
