Full Time, 8:00am – 5:00pm This is an exciting opportunity for a Level 3 qualified childcare professional to join a vibrant nursery setting in the historic city of York. As a Band 3 Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in nurturing young children and supporting their early development in a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment. What you will do: Deliver high-quality care and educational activities
in line with the EYFS framework and Ofsted standards
Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
that supports child-led learning and development
Act as a key person
for allocated children, completing observations, assessments, and developmental records
Build strong, positive relationships
with parents, carers, and external professionals
Promote and follow safeguarding procedures , reporting concerns appropriately
Support and supervise
Childcare Assistants, students, and bank staff when required
Maintain accurate records , registers, and nursery documentation
Support daily routines
including hygiene, meals, housekeeping, and health and safety responsibilities
Training and development: Participate in mandatory training, safeguarding supervision, and ongoing professional development
Attend staff meetings, supervision sessions, and parent evenings as required
Work flexibly across nursery sites if needed
Minimum requirements: Level 3 qualification in Childcare (essential)
Experience working within an early years or nursery setting
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding principles
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
