Job Purpose As the Bar Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the bar at our Holiday Park, ensuring high standards of customer service, hygiene, safety, and profitability. You will lead a team to deliver a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our guests, while maintaining efficient stock control and compliance with all licensing laws. Key Responsibilities Operations & Service Manage the day-to-day running of the bar, ensuring excellent customer service.
Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the bar area at all times.
Monitor and control stock levels, ordering as needed and reducing waste.
Ensure all bar equipment is well-maintained and reported if faulty.
Team Leadership Recruit, train, and manage bar staff.
Create and manage staff rotas based on seasonal demands.
Motivate the team to meet sales targets and deliver exceptional service.
Conduct regular briefings and staff development sessions.
Customer Experience Deliver a warm, friendly, and professional service to all guests.
Handle customer complaints or issues swiftly and effectively.
Promote park activities, events, and special offers.
Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with health & safety, food hygiene, and alcohol licensing regulations.
Maintain accurate records including temperature checks, cleaning logs, and due diligence documentation.
Handle cash and card transactions securely and accurately.
Sales & Marketing Monitor bar performance and implement strategies to improve sales.
Plan and promote events (e.g., quiz nights, live entertainment, happy hours).
Work with the marketing team to advertise promotions and events.
Person Specification Essential Previous experience in a bar supervisor or manager role.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge of licensing laws and health & safety regulations.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Desirable Personal Licence Holder.
Experience in a holiday park, leisure, or hospitality environment.
First Aid or Food Hygiene certification.
