Behaviour Mentor

Specialist SEN schools in St Albans are looking for confident Behaviour Mentors to support pupils who benefit from structure, routine and consistent adult support.
These schools support students with a range of additional needs including SEMH, Autism, ADHD and communication needs. The Behaviour Mentor will work closely with teachers and SEN teams helping pupils remain engaged in lessons while supporting behaviour positively and maintaining a structured learning environment.
In these settings, the Behaviour Mentor often becomes a key point of stability for pupils. Schools value individuals who bring calmness, patience and the ability to build positive relationships with young people who may struggle with engagement or emotional regulation.
The role will involve
• Supporting pupils during lessons and structured activities • Helping pupils remain engaged with learning • Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation • Building positive relationships with pupils • Working alongside teachers and SEN staff

Candidates with experience working with young people, behaviour support, SEND or care environments are particularly suited to this role.
