Bid Team Manager – Electronics Manufacturing

Hours: – 37.5 – Early finish on a Friday

A leading provider of high‑reliability electronic manufacturing solutions is seeking an experienced Bid Team Manager to lead its quotation function and support growth across aerospace, defence, medical and industrial markets.
The Role
You’ll manage the full bid and quotation process, ensuring accurate, timely and commercially robust proposals. Working closely with engineering, supply chain, operations and quality teams, you’ll coordinate cost models, assess risk, support pricing strategy and ensure smooth handover into NPI. This is a key leadership role with real influence over business performance and customer success.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the bid/quotation and documentation teams Deliver accurate, timely quotations aligned to business priorities Build full cost models (labour, materials, NRE, CAPEX, tooling) Analyse BOMs and validate manufacturing assumptions Develop dashboards and reporting tools (Excel, BI platforms) Coordinate cross‑functional RFQ activity and customer communication Support NPI handover and manufacturing readiness Identify and escalate technical and supply chain risks Recruit, develop and manage the quotation team What You’ll Bring
5+ years in electronics manufacturing / EMS Experience in estimating, costing, bid management or quotation engineering Strong leadership and communication skills Advanced Excel skills and experience with BOM analysis High accuracy, commercial awareness and ability to meet tight deadlines Knowledge of Valor and BOM Connector (advantageous) Desirable
Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Business Power BI, VBA/macros or SQL knowledge ERP/MRP and CRM experience Background in aerospace, defence, medical or industrial sectors Lean/CI experience Benefits
