Guildmore Facades & Cladding is seeking an experienced Bid Writer to support and lead the preparation of compelling, high-quality bid submissions. This role is critical in driving the success of our Facades Division, ensuring proposals align with both company objectives and client requirements.\nYou will play a key role in managing the full bid process—from reviewing tender documents and coordinating internal teams to delivering accurate, professional, and persuasive submissions.\nKey Responsibilities\n * \n Complete PQQs (Pre-Qualification Questionnaires) and respond to quality-related questions in line with client expectations.\n * \n Manage inquiry portals and proactively identify new project opportunities.\n * \n Create bid summaries once tenders are logged into the system.\n * \n Attend Bid/No-Bid meetings to assess project viability and fit.\n * \n Collaborate with the Pre-Construction Manager, Project Managers, and Design Manager to fully understand project requirements.\n * \n Review ITT and Employer’s Requirements to identify scope of works, evaluation criteria, and scoring.\n * \n Support framework tendering processes as required.\n * \n Maintain and update a database of bid-related documents and templates.\n * \n Develop well-structured, persuasive, and accurate bid proposals that highlight the company’s value proposition.\n * \n Use software to create logistical diagrams and schedules, presenting them clearly and professionally.\n * \n Ensure all bid documents are accurate, compliant, and submitted with the necessary forms, certifications, and attachments.\n * \n Monitor bid progress and follow up with clients and stakeholders where appropriate.\nCandidate Requirements\n * \n Bachelor’s degree (ideally in Construction or a related field).\n * \n 5–6 years’ proven experience as a Bid Writer, preferably within the construction sector.\n * \n Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.\n * \n Experience managing multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.\n * \n Strong research skills and ability to gather and apply technical information.\n * \n Excellent organisational and project management abilities.\n * \n Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders.\n * \n Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\n * \n Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and subcontractor services.\n * \n Understanding of local construction regulations and industry standards.\n * \n Detail-focused, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.\n * \n High level of professionalism and commitment to quality.\nWhat We Offer\n * \n Competitive salary and benefits package.\n * \n Supportive, family-owned company culture.\n * \n Opportunities for growth and professional development.\nAbout Guildmore\nFounded in 1988, Guildmore is a family-owned business dedicated to fostering a supportive workplace where growth and well-being take centre stage.
