Job Description

The Role\n\nWe are seeking an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Birmingham. This role is focused on the commissioning, testing, and optimisation of Building Management Systems across a range of commercial and industrial projects. You will play a key role in ensuring systems are delivered to specification, operate efficiently, and meet client and project requirements.\n\nThis position offers the opportunity to work on varied projects, collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients, and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality BMS solutions.

It is well suited to a technically strong engineer who enjoys problem-solving, site-based work, and taking ownership of commissioning activities from start to finish.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nYou will be responsible for commissioning BMS installations in line with project specifications, control strategies, and industry standards. This includes testing and verifying system functionality, optimising performance, and ensuring seamless integration with mechanical and electrical plant. You will diagnose and resolve commissioning issues efficiently, supporting projects to meet programme and quality expectations.\n\nThe role involves working closely with project managers, design teams, and other engineers to ensure systems are delivered correctly and on time.

You will support clients during handover, providing technical guidance and assistance where required, and ensure all commissioning activities are fully documented, including test results and as-built information.
