Job Description

BMS Manager | Niagara – £80,000 per annum | 5 Days Onsite | London

We’re supporting a high-profile site in the appointment of a BMS & Controls Manager to lead the mobilisation, development, and ongoing operation of the Building Management System (BMS) and associated control systems within a complex, critical environment. This is a senior role with strategic and technical responsibility, offering the chance to shape the BMS function on site and ensure operational excellence across all systems.

As BMS Manager, you will oversee the BMS maintenance programme, including planned and reactive works, ensuring system performance, alarm management, and environmental controls meet client, regulatory, and statutory requirements. You will act as the senior technical authority for BMS and controls, serving as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders and on-site engineering teams. A key aspect of the role is change control, ensuring all documentation, software, and hardware changes are properly governed, approved, and communicated. During emergency operations, you will work closely with site and client leadership to support safe and effective resolution.

You will also be responsible for inspections, testing, maintenance, modifications, and fault-finding across mechanical and electrical plant, distribution systems, and associated equipment. Leading technical investigations, supporting start-up, operation, and shutdown of plant and systems when authorised, and reporting into senior engineering leadership on operational performance, compliance, and risk are central to this role. Continuous improvement is key, including reviewing alarm strategies, conducting technical and quality audits, and identifying enhancements to improve system resilience, reliability, and performance.
