Junior Bookkeeper (SME Accounts) – Ashby-de-la-Zouch (Hybrid)

We’re working with a growing professional services firm in the Midlands that supports a broad portfolio of owner-managed businesses and SMEs across multiple sectors. Due to continued growth, they’re looking to hire a Junior Bookkeeper to support their client delivery team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 2 years’ hands-on bookkeeping experience (from either an accountancy practice or an in-house/industry role) who is keen to develop their skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
The role will include:
* Day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of SME clients
* Processing sales and purchase invoices, expenses, and bank reconciliations
* Supporting with VAT returns and basic management accounts
* Assisting with month-end and year-end preparation
* Working with cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
* Liaising with clients and internal colleagues as required
We’re looking for:
* 2+ years’ bookkeeping experience (practice or industry)
* Confidence using at least one cloud accounting system (Xero preferred)
* Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
* Comfortable working in an office environment 4 days per week
* Living within a 30-minute commute of Ashby-de-la-Zouch for ease of travel
