Overview
We're looking to appoint a motivated and forward-thinking Building Physics Engineer to join our Manchester team. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in delivering energy-efficient and sustainable design solutions across a wide range of UK projects.
You'll work closely with M&E engineers and other disciplines, contributing to the growth of building physics expertise while staying at the forefront of low and zero carbon (LZC) technologies and modern design approaches.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Carry out energy modelling and building performance analysis Deliver compliance work including Part L, EPCs, and overheating assessments (CIBSE TM52/TM59, Part O) Undertake SAP calculations and TM54 operational energy assessments Support early-stage design through passive design and simulation modelling Work collaboratively with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders Contribute to sustainable, low-energy design strategies across projects Assist with business development and promotion of building physics services
What We're Looking For
Experience in building physics, energy modelling, and simulation Strong working knowledge of IES VE (ModelIT, ApacheSim, VistaPro, MacroFlo, VE Compliance) Proven delivery of Part L compliance, EPCs, and overheating analysis Good understanding of UK building regulations Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset Full UK driving licence and ability to commute to the Manchester office
