We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Building Safety Manager to join our Private Sector Housing Team. This is a vital role supporting the delivery of the Private Sector Building Safety Programme, which is focused on identifying and mitigating fire safety risks in privately owned medium- and high-rise residential buildings. About the Role As Building Safety Manager, you will work closely with internal enforcement officers and external stakeholders—including building proprietors and the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG)—to ensure risks posed by unsafe cladding and other fire safety issues are identified and addressed appropriately. You’ll lead on collecting and reviewing data related to external wall systems (EWS), supporting enforcement action where necessary, and ensuring building owners take informed, timely action to safeguard residents.
Key Responsibilities Undertake desktop reviews and risk-based inspections of residential buildings. Collect and assess data on EWS and fire risk assessments (FRAEW).
