Senior Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical Building Services)Location:Croydon, CR0Contract Type:Full-Time, PermanentAbout the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivatedSenior Engineerto join our multi-disciplinary Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Building Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in delivering high-quality engineering design and consultancy services across a diverse portfolio of projects.You will be responsible for providing expert technical advice, leading discipline-specific design work, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest professional standards.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design and technical delivery of M&E building services projectsProvide consultancy services including site surveys, feasibility studies, due diligence, and technical reportingManage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and cost targets are metAct as discipline lead on projects where requiredCoordinate effectively with internal teams, external consultants, and clientsAttend and lead meetings, providing clear and professional updates and reportsPrepare and review technical documentation including specifications, calculations, and schedulesConduct site inspections, condition surveys, and defect analysisSupport commissioning activities and review as-fitted drawings and O&M documentationIdentify and manage project risks, including producing MEP residual risk reports in line with CDM regulationsPromote sustainability and energy-efficient design solutionsMentor and support junior engineers, graduates, and traineesContribute to business development activities, including fee proposals and technical bidsWhat Were Looking For:Proven experience in an engineering role within M&E building servicesProven experience working in consultancyStrong technical design and report writing skillsAbility to manage workload independently with minimal supervisionExcellent communication and client-facing skillsStrong understanding of project cost control and commercial awarenessExperience working across multiple projects and disciplinesCommitment to sustainability and innovation in engineering solutionsWhy Join Us?Opportunity to work on a wide range of challenging and rewarding projectsCollaborative and supportive team environmentCareer development and progression opportunitiesInvolvement in business growth and strategic initiativesAdditional Information:This role may involve travel to project sites and meetings across various locations.
