Forest of Dean District Council is seeking a skilled and motivated Building Surveyor to join our Property and Assets team. Reporting to the Assets Manager, you will take a lead role in delivering expert building surveying services across the Councils diverse property portfolio. Youll contribute to the strategic development of property services, ensuring high standards in service delivery, financial management, performance, and compliance with regulations.
As the Councils lead professional on building surveying matters, your responsibilities will include conducting condition surveys, identifying building defects, planning and managing maintenance programmes, and advising on acquisitions and disposals. Youll liaise with stakeholders across the Council, present expert reports, and play a key role in shaping property-related decisions. This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for someone looking to make a real impact in the public sector property environment.
