The Company?
The successful building surveyor will be joining a well established consultancy operating within a collaborative multi disciplinary environment. The organisation continues to expand its Building Consultancy offering, providing the building surveyor with access to a diverse client base and a varied range of property instructions.
The Role
As the building surveyor you will provide professional Building Surveying advice across a variety of client portfolios while supporting project delivery and property related instructions.
The role will include:
* Carrying out building and measured surveys
* Ensuring buildings comply with current building regulations and technical standards
* Undertaking site inspections, preparing specifications and obtaining contractor estimates
* Planning maintenance programmes and administering maintenance contracts
* Analysing and reporting on building defects
* Managing claims and negotiations with loss adjusters
* Preparing drawings and specifications for remedial works
* Producing schedules of dilapidations for land and buildings
The Building Surveyor?
You will be a proactive individual with experience delivering Building Surveying services within a consultancy environment. Unfortunately applications from non construction related building surveyor backgrounds will not be considered.
The Building Surveyor must have:
* MRICS qualification
* Experience working in a similar Building Surveyor role
* Experience undertaking building surveys and defect analysis
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage instructions and work independently
