Job Summary:

The Business Systems Specialist (BSS) for Transmission and/or Distribution manages inventory levels for operations in the Carolinas, Florida, and Midwest regions. Responsible for analyzing and managing inventory data to support inventory optimization strategies, overseeing ~$2.2B of inventory value, ~$2B of annual purchases, and ~250,000 items across ~300 locations. The role involves developing reports, tools, and performance indicators to measure inventory levels and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

The BSS collaborates with various support organizations, communicates effectively with stakeholders, and leads process improvements. Key skills include business and financial acumen, analytical expertise, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power BI, and knowledge of inventory control policies.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze inventory data to identify efficiency improvements and cost savings.
• Manage data elements related to inventory analysis and reporting.
• Support warehouse operations and adapt to enterprise changes like the clean energy transition.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams.
• Lead inventory health assessments and process direction for the team.

Qualifications:

• BS in business, supply chain, engineering, or related field plus 2-5 years of experience, or 8-12 years of relevant experience.
• Desired: Graduate degree, APIC-CPIM, and strong knowledge of inventory control and supply chain.
