The role will support the packaging division to ensure that growth targets are met. Working closely with the business development teams and clients, this role will focus on identifying and converting new business opportunities, including planning through the bid process, and effectively articulating our clients packaging proposition and solutions through client facing documentation and presentations, delivered to the highest standard and on brand. This role will have a strong focus on developing business led from the packaging operation.Specific area of responsibilityStrong consultative selling skills with a proven ability of understanding client opportunities & creating solutionsWinning new business in line with the sales planEstablish business development pipeline by building on existing network opportunitiesTo be conversant with the key market trends, changing client requirements and competitor activityGenerate leads that fit the ideal client profile in conjunction with the prospecting processBuilding revenue and profits from new clientsMonitor progress of proposals, plans and objectivesCross-selling / Up-sellingPioneering solutions development in conjunction with other functions of the businessPerson SpecificationOutstanding communication (verbal & written) skillsExcellent engagement skills both internally and externallyProven ability to sell at COO / CPO / CMO levelExperience selling large scale packaging supply arrangements into B2C and B2B clientsMinimum 8 – 10 years Business Development experienceContinual quest to obtain new knowledge and be involved new opportunitiesHighly organised and strong attention to detailContinually exceeds their business targetsOutstanding consultative sales approach with the ability to form strong workingA real can do will do attitude.
