OverviewBusiness Development Manager (Consulting Services)Location: Our offices are in Central London, along with a number of our customers. Travel across the UK is required on an ad-hoc basis for customer visits, events etc. You need to be able to travel onsite to London up to 3 days per week, although onsite requirements will vary from week-to-week from 0 to 3 days.Salary: £85,000 - £100,000 base salary + Commission + BenefitsThe RoleWe are looking for our first Business Development hire to join an established Sales and Alliances team, who will be focussed on uncovering, pursuing and closing strategic opportunities across new and existing accounts.This role will suit someone who is a driven self-starter, with experience working in a start-up or scale-up environment who thrives without the process, structure, and constraints sometimes found in larger organisations.What You\'ll Be DoingIdentify and win new business through direct outreach, your network, events, referrals, and strategic targeting, building a robust sales pipelineEngage with partner Account Managers and senior stakeholders to foster trust and uncover opportunitiesDevelop and convert leads into qualified opportunities with structured close plansCollaborate with delivery and technical teams to shape compelling proposals and solutionsUpsell and cross-sell across Cloudscaler\’s full portfolio of cloud, data, and AI transformation servicesConsistently meet or exceed revenue targets while maintaining target gross marginMaintain accurate CRM records to support forecasting and reportingContribute customer insights and sales feedback to enhance go-to-market strategyWhat We\'re Looking ForA proven hunter and closer – with a track record of winning new business in B2B tech or servicesSpecific experience selling cloud transformation services (AWS, Azure, GCP)Established network within the cloud ecosystemStrong consultative selling skills – able to shape and sell value-based, bundled solutionsComfortable working with senior stakeholders (CIOs, CTOs, Heads of Digital)Nice to haveDeep understanding of data and AI trendsEstablished network within the AWS ecosystemExperience with public sector procurement processes and frameworks (G-Cloud, DOS)Why Join Cloudscaler?At Cloudscaler, we’re not just delivering cloud solutions — we’re driving real digital transformation across the UK’s most critical sectors.
