My client is a leading real estate consultancy that is well established, highly regarded and ambitious. The firm has a strong reputation across the UK market, advising on complex, high‑value assets and developments where insight, judgement and collaboration genuinely matter.

The role
My client is seeking a Business Development Manager to play a central role in supporting the firm’s growth ambitions. The position focuses on strengthening how client relationships are developed, how opportunities are identified and prioritised, and how teams collaborate around shared commercial objectives.
Based in London, the role works closely with partners and senior stakeholders across the business. It offers genuine visibility and influence, combining client insight, data‑led analysis and commercial thinking to improve decision‑making and drive more consistent, high‑quality business development activity.
Key responsibilities
- Support partners in identifying, shaping and progressing priority client and market opportunities
- Embed a consistent, client‑led approach to business development across the firm
- Use data and client insight to identify opportunities, risks and areas of focus, with clear recommendations
- Act as a central point for client intelligence, improving knowledge‑sharing and cross‑team collaboration
- Maintain accurate pipelines and CRM data to provide visibility of activity, performance and outcomes
- Produce concise BD insights and reporting to support senior decision‑making
- Strengthen BD processes, reporting and information flow to improve consistency and efficiency
- Monitor market and competitor activity to inform client strategy and go‑to‑market priorities
- Support the development of high‑quality BD materials, including pitches, presentations and written content
- Represent the firm externally where appropriate to support relationships and market presence
Person specification
- Experience in business development or marketing within a professional services environment
- Comfortable working closely with senior stakeholders and influencing across a matrix organisation
- Commercially astute, able to connect BD activity to clear priorities and outcomes
- Confident analysing data and translating insight into practical actions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing client‑ready materials
- Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong working knowledge of CRM systems, with excellent Excel and PowerPoint capability
